Oratory skills will also be encouraged through the Anjuman module of the Islamic Theology course; this allows students to present a short talk on a topic of their choice in English and Urdu and Arabic. Artistic expression is also encouraged in this aspect of the course through the writing and presentation of poetry.
Numerical and mathematical skills are a critical aspect of the curriculum. This will be provided through Mathematics lessons in afternoon schooling upto GCSE level, with additional instruction on numeracy as part of the Islamic Theology course as part of the Inheritance Module. Mathematical skills will also have greater focus on the application of Mathematics in everyday life as part of revisions to the new curriculum from September 2006.

Religious studies form an integral aspect of the curriculum at Darul Uloom. Clearly, understanding of the Islamic faith will form a significant aspect of teaching and learning in the morning Islamic course and afternoon schooling. However, an understanding of the tenets of other world faiths such as Christianity and Judaism and their origins is provided through the Theology course taught in the morning.
